About
Who you’re actually hiring
A Victoria team that designs and builds, from single rooms to new homes.
Who we are
Renovation Resources is a Victoria company doing renovation and new build work across Greater Victoria. The design happens here too, architectural, interior and landscape, so the people who scope a project are the people who build it.
We learned the trade on large residential developments, where one missed inspection or late trade can hold up dozens of houses. So we plan tightly, book trades in the right order, and keep your project moving.
Andrew Kortas
Renovation Resources was founded by Andrew Kortas, who has spent nearly thirty years in construction. Most of that was spent running other people’s builds, at a scale most residential contractors never work at.
17 years
With one of Western Canada’s largest builders, moving from General Superintendent to Senior Site Superintendent.
Construction Manager
For BC’s largest single-family home builder.
1,400+ homes
Supervised through to completion, with 150 or more framed personally.
Safety and quality
Also served as Quality Control Supervisor, Special Projects Manager, and National Construction Safety Officer.
Design in-house
Three disciplines under one roof. It is the reason a scope holds together instead of being handed between firms and losing something at every step.
Architectural
Structure, layout and the load-bearing questions, settled before anything opens.
Interior
Finishes, fixtures and how the rooms will actually get used.
Landscape
Hardscaping and planting, so the yard and the build are one project rather than two.
